A fire destroys a Guernsey County truck maintenance facility in the early hours of Sunday Morning.

At approximately 3 a.m. the Pleasant City Fire Department was called to a fire behind a Duke and Duchess gas station at Exit 37 Repair Shop near Buffalo on State Route 313 near Interstate 77.

Once on scene they contained the blaze but later on in the afternoon they were sent out to the fire for a second time.

"We just got called back we had a rekindle and we are going through it and working out all the hotspots right now ," said Pleasant City Fire Chief, Homer Gander.

The Pleasant City Fire Department says that they have contacted the State Fire Marshall to assess the damage. Gander says that the building’s electricity was turned off at the time of the fire and they are still trying to find possible causes for the blaze. There were nine fire department that assisted at the scene throughout the morning.

" I had Senecaville, Byesville, Lore City, Old Washington, Liberty, Belle Valley and I had Cumberland ," says Gander.

Gander says no one was injured and the owners of the repair shop were notified and they do have insurance on the building. The fire remains under investigation.
