Farm City Day At The Muskingum County Fairgrounds

The purpose of Farm City Day is to highlight the importance of agriculture in our community. OSU Extension Office Educator Mark Mechling, says this year’s farm day theme is all about horses.

"We’re gonna have some horses out at the fairgrounds; some different breeds of horses," said Mechling. "There will be some demonstrations some of the different types of riding classes that are affiliated with horses. So that’ll be something a little bit different, that’ll be taking place in the coliseum."

Mechling says children won’t be able to ride horses or ponies at this year’s Farm City Day, but they’ll still get the opportunity to see them up close.

"We have an equine dentist that’s gonna be there this year. And someone’s gonna be talking a little bit about horse psychology. So it’s some different topics and items that would interest folks that relate to horses."

The free event is from 9-1:00 p.m. inside the Muskingum County Fairgrounds. For a complete list of events, you can call the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce 740-455-8282
