Florida Man dies in Cambridge Car Accident

According to the Cambridge Post of the Ohio Highway Patrol, at approximately 11:48 p.m.on Saturday night, a vehicle traveling north on Ohio 285 near mile post 6 failed to negotiate a curve.

The vehicle went off the right side of the roadway, when it struck a ditch. The two passengers in the front of the vehicle were partially ejected and were entrapped when the vehicle overturned.

According to reports, the right front passenger, Harry M. Douphin, 47, of Port Orange, Florida , was pronounced dead at the scene by the Guernsey County Coroner.

The middle front passenger, Jeanette M. Clark, 52, of Blacklick was transported to Ohio State University Medical Center for head and torso injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, Darrell W. Williams, 54, of Cambridge was admitted to Southeastern Medical Center for apparent injuries.

the post says that alcohol is a suspected factor in the crash and seatbelts were not used.
