The community came together to support a local man through one of his toughest times.

Friends of Terry Kline put together a car and truck show to raise money for the medical expenses he acquired after recently undergoing an extensive surgery.

"Terry is amazing a very hard worker. He works for Dollar General and he had open heart surgery, and they are just a little bit down of their finances and we are just trying to help them," said Hope the Clown.

Along with cars, a dunking machine and music there were plenty of other activities for guests to participate in while supporting their friend.

"We also have the silent auction, the Chinese auction, and we have food. Hopefully we raise enough money to help them with some of their medical expenses and to keep his insurance," said close friend, Sue Hildebrand.

It costs visitors $10 to register their vehicles in the show that took place in the parking lot of Save- A- Lot on Maysville Pike. The event lasted until 2 p.m.
