Muskies Ready To Turn Things Around

It’s been over a decade since the Muskingum University football team recorded a winning season, but that doesn’t mean the Muskies aren’t optimistic for the season ahead. Head coach Al Logan returns depth on both sides of the ball that makes him confident this team can break through.

The Muskies were hard at work this week for their season opener this Saturday on the road at Waynesburg University. The game is set for a 2 p.m. kickoff. Last season, Muskingum jumped all over the Yellow Jackets early but weren’t able to finish them off in a 34-23 defeat on their home turf.

It won’t be any easier Saturday when sophomore quarterback C.J. Snider leads the offense into hostile territory. Snider takes command of a quick backfield for the Muskies, alongside senior running back Shane Dotson. Dotson is one of 25 seniors that are determined to change the culture of the program, and it all starts this weekend.
