Forever Dads, an organization that strives to strengthen families and help father’s provide for their families closed their Community Marketplace Store and re-located inside of Mattingly’s Cash and Carry on State Street.

"Forever Dads started with a store on 6th Street and realized they needed a little more space so with the history of Mattingly foods and my grandfather founded it way back when and the roots of how that started with starting as a scratch and dent store for the community to use, the tie in worked in really well," said Ben Hess, V.P. of Mattingly’s. "We’ve brought these two store organizations for a real good shopping destination for people to come get some low-cost groceries."

Executive Director of Forever Dads Burl Lemon said the move allows the store more space and more variety to customers.

"They can buy product here that supports Forever Dads but they can buy other products like the frozen meats and different products like that that we could not handle," said Lemon. "Mattingly’s has it. So the beauty of it is that it’s one-stop-shopping."

The newly renamed Forever Dads Grocery Clearance Center’s proceeds go to Forever Dads to help fund programs. The store is open Monday through Saturday 8:30 5:30 p.m. and Sunday’s 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
