Ohio University alumni met at the Buffalo Wild Wings in Zanesville to view the Bobcats first game of the season.

Ohio alumni watched Louisville take the lead on the scoreboard and ultimately win the game, but that did not stop the organizer of the event and 1996 graduate, Brad Sims from reminiscing on more positive times at the university.

"I enjoyed my time down there academically it was a great time. It was a great campus, beautiful campus and all the athletic opportunities. They had shows, concerts and things like that made my time down there enjoyable, " said Sims.

He says he put the event together so that alumni of all ages got a chance to hang out and build bonds with one another. He hopes to plan more meetings like this in the near future.

"I think this show out that we have right now is a great number, and we are hoping this will continue into November. We have a chance to do this again and a chance to increase our numbers, " said Sims.

Sims first attended Ohio University Zanesville before transferring to the main campus in Athens. He encourages alumni of both OUZ or the Athens campus who live in the area to come out to their next event.
