Relief Needed For Flood Victims

The Red Cross is calling out to the community to aid them in supporting the victims of flooding in Colorado.

So far the Red Cross has set up 14 shelters in the area, it has sent more than 20 response vehicles and at least 500 volunteers to the scene. some local residents have already got involved in the reconstruction process.

"We actually have three deployed from right around this area, said Executive Director, Marlene Henderson. We have someone from Athens county, Licking county and Fairfield county already there, they’ll probably be some more in the upcoming weeks. "

If going to Colorado to volunteer is not an option, local residents can still help victims by giving donations to the emergency relief fund.

"The easiest way to do it is to is from your cell phone, if you want to text Red Cross 90999 and you can make a $10 donation right there, " said Henderson.
