Local community members searching for career opportunities came out to Zane State College for the 2013 Southeastern Ohio Jobs Fair.
At the event there were more than 35 employers searching for qualified candidates to hire in both management and entry level positions.
"They stretch across all industries," said Field Rep for Congressman Bill Johnson, Anthony Ardonetto. We have oil and gas, we have retail, manufacturing we even have financial institutions, Genesis is here. It goes across all industries."
A little under 4,000 job opportunities were available for job seekers . Adornetto says it was a group effort to pull off the event.
"This was a big collaboration, Congressman Johnson saw the need for a jobs fair in the Sixth District of Ohio, so we pulled this together, utilizing Ohio Means Jobs, local chambers of commerce, commissioners, we had help from a lot of people to make this a success. "
The job fair lasted from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and was held in the Campus Center at Zane State. Organizers of the event would like to thank everyone who participated.
