A student at Watkins Memorial High School in Etna Township was arrested Wednesday afternoon after making threats to shoot students the next day.

According to the Licking County Sheriff’s Office, a member of the high school faculty called police to report the 15 year old male, who was making threats to retrieve a .22 caliber weapon and shoot students at the school on Thursday.

Once authorities arrived to the high school, they learned the teen had already headed home for the day. Police went to the student’s residence and eventually arrested the boy. Sheriff deputies transported him to the Licking County Justice Center where he was delivered to the Licking County Juvenile Center.

No word on if he will be charged.
