Family, classmates and friends of Mariah Williams, mourn as she lost her battle with brain cancer Saturday.
The Zanesville High School student passed away early this morning after fighting the stage 3 cancer for several months. The "Team Mariah" facebook page, has more than 8 thousand likes with many compassionate posts regarding the young woman. It is clear from this page alone, how many lives she touched during her short time on Earth. She was diagnosed earlier this year and was moved into hospice in the beginning of the month, right before her seventeenth birthday.
On October 8th, her loved ones celebrated her life and birth date with a candlelight vigil at the Morrison House. There will be a benefit this Monday at Zanesville Middle School from 5:30 to 7:30. The cost is six dollars for all you can eat pizza and will be donated to Mariah’s family. You can also donate money at Huntington National Bank.
