One of the most brutal cases in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court, is scheduled to begin Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. before Judge Kelly Cottrill.
The panel of jurors has been selected for 34-year-old LaFonse Dixon, the man accused in the gruesome murder of 29-year-old Celeste Fronsman of Canton, Ohio. On August 26th 2012, a driver found Fronsman on State Route 208 near Adamsville, she was covered in burns and had a strap around her neck. She died from her injuries two days later.
Two women arrested with Dixon – Monica Washington and Katrina Culberson, both of Canton, have pleaded guilty to aggravated murder and agreed to testify against him to avoid the death penalty. WHIZ will have a camera crew present at the trial and will bring you daily updates of the court proceedings.
