If you’re a registered voter and plan on voting early, you have until Friday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. to cast your ballots before the general election. Muskingum County Board of Elections Director Chris Hamill said registered voters can stop by the Board of Elections to vote Wednesday and Thursday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Friday from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. If you have recently moved, you should also notify them of the change.
"If a person who has a change of address needs to come in our office, they can change their address and vote here all at the same time," said Hamill.
Absentee ballots need to be postmarked before the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 5 to be counted. Those voting at the polls on election day can call the Muskingum County Board of Elections to find out what precinct they are in.
"If a voter’s not sure where they need to go vote, they can contact us, or, they can actually look on the website and it will tell them their voting location."
Hamill wants to remind voters that the Board of Elections will not be moving, they will stay at their 7th Street location in downtown Zanesville for the convenience of the voters.
