Muskingum County officials have rolled out a new video that they hope increases business and tourism. It highlights the positive attributes of our area.

Members of the Zanesville Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce, the Zanesville Muskingum County Port Authority and the Conventions and Visitor’s Bureau created the video that has received more than 6,900 views and even more responses since it’s unveiling last Friday.

"Most of it has been very positive," said Muskingum County Port Authority Executive Director, Mike Jacoby. People are taking pride in their hometown whether or not they still live here or they’ve moved on and there is some small amount of negativity but you know every community has problems."

The video features multiple aspects of Muskingum County’s land scape, attractions , businesses and even commentary from local community members.

"One of the neat things about the video is the interview portion was totally unscripted,"said Muskingum County Chamber or Commerce President, Tom Poorman. Of course there were questions posed to these local folks that appeared in the video but there answers were unscripted. "

Poorman hopes to continue the "This is Muskingum County Campaign" in the future and is pleased with the initial response. He encourages people to visit the page at
