Pet Photos Taken

For the past ten years Paws of Muskingum County have held their annual Pet Photo Day for the community.

More than 20 families came out to  Rogge Pavilion at Ohio University Zanesville to have pictures taken of their animals by a professional photographer. All the proceeds raised on Sunday will go towards the spaying and neutering of pets living in low income homes in hopes to control pet population.

"Some of the negative things about not getting your pets spayed or neutered is they end up in the shelter and the shelter gets so full that’s there no place to put them," said Paws President, Kris Medley.

The organization hopes to raise at least $500 on Sunday and invites the public to come out to their next and biggest fundraiser, the Cookie Walk coming up in December. Last year the organization helped 360 families pay for spaying and neutering for their pets.
