The 2nd Annual Canvas, Corks and Cookies event is this Saturday, Nov. 2 at the new Fieldhouse Foundation Event Center in the Sunrise Center Plaza. The event, which is open to the public, is the biggest fundraiser for the organization and will feature wine and food tasting, over 150 silent and live auction items and live music.
"We just really want to invite people in, expose them to what the organization is about, ya know, women helping women and in addition to just being a great night, it’s also an incredible night of networking," explained ZMPW member, Vicki Maple.
Maple says the event is more than just a clever name. An award for the Zanesville-Muskingum County "Woman of the Year" will be presented, along with a scholarship for a local woman pursuing higher education. Maple says the event isn’t just open to women, there will be plenty of auction items men will enjoy too. Tickets for the fun night out are $10 per person or $15 a couple.
"The admission includes the souvenir wine glass, the tasting tickets for the wine tasting and Taste of Zanesville-Muskingum County and then also an auction number for the silent and live auction."
You can purchase tickets at the door Saturday evening starting at 5:30 p.m. or online at www.e-tix.com.
