Thousands of Kia Sedona Minivans face recall because a broken control arm could result in the loss of control and increase the risk of crashing.

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that Kia Motors Corporation is recalling nearly 80,000  if the vehicles manufactured from June 15, 2005 through August 14, 2012.

The recall is taking place in 20 states including Ohio. The report shows that because of the front lower control arm they may break due to corrosion resulting from exposure to salty environments.

The NHTSA said that Kia will notify owners and dealers will inspect the corrosion and will either rustproof or replace them free of charge.

The recall is expected to being next month. Owners can contact Kia at 1-800-333-4542 for more information.
