Genesis Rehabilitation Services just opened a new facility made specifically for kids.

Friday was the official open house for Genesis Pediatric Rehab Center located near the Genesis Healthplex on Maple Avenue. The new building features state of the art therapy for children.

"We offer physical, occupational and speech therapy," said Physical Therapist, Kyle Paladino. We have rooms for individual treatments, we have a large area behind me that’s a sensory play area that allows for the child to seek out their own play style or movement that they may need at that moment to help them with other task. "

The parents of children who receive treatments at the facility say they have noticed a huge difference since the service moved from its prior location at the Center for Occupational and Outpatient Rehabilitation.

"The old facility was wonderful, but it was also for adults so you had more smaller rooms and you didn’t have as much area like this, " said Mother of Patient, Tracy Klinehoffer.
