Employees at Zandex Healthcare participated in team building exercises at this year’s Nurse Aide Olympics.

For the past six years nurses have put together the competition as a way to educate and say thank you to their aides. This year seven teams from different Zandex care facilities participated.

"They celebrate their profession and relate it to how they care for our patients," said Clinical Services Director, Peggy Kish. They take a little bit of a test, they do some skills, they have lots of great food, play some games. We just want to let them all know how much we appreciate all the hard work they do for our patients here at Zandex. "

This year’s theme is " Prepared to be Smurfed" Kish says the fictional smurfs share the same values and work together to accomplish goals much like the ladies did on Friday in order to complete group skills test and games.

"We try to relate those to things that they may do in health care fore example, we put a blind fold on them and they have to depend on each other to help one another it’s a team work thing," said Medical Director, Katie Sorrell.

The group also enjoyed food, a photo booth and lots of laughs.
