The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services reports that the state’s unemployment rate rose slightly in the month of October.
Ohio’s unemployment rate was 7.5 percent for October and 7.4 percent for September. That’s up from 7.3 percent in August.
October’s rate is the highest since March of 2012.
Ohio’s rate also now reaches above the national unemployment rate of 7.3 percent in October and 7.2 percent in September.
The monthly labor report for September had been delayed due to a government shut down last month.
