There is some exciting news out of West Muskingum High School Tuesday evening.
Last Tuesday, WHIZ spoke with two students regarding a competition called "The Chris Spielman High School Team Challenge". The school was apart of the online contest, in the hopes to win money for the pay to play sports program.
Tuesday, after three rounds of stiff competition and 7 weeks of hard work by the community, it was confirmed by West Muskingum’s Athletic Director, Daryl Satterfield, that West M won the challenge and have been awarded ten thousand dollars!
Satterfield says West M beat out River Valley High School by a margin of less than 1 percent. He also says he is on cloud nine and after passing the levy this past spring, winning this contest is another positive step in the right direction for the school. Satterfield wants to thank the entire community, because they won due to the efforts of everyone’s involvement, support, and above all their votes!
