The Zanesville Jaycee’s 25th annual Christmas for Kids Shpping Tour was Tuesday and it went off without a hitch.
The generous program starts gearing up in the fall, with the Jaycee’s Redbull Tournament at its golf course, as the major fundraising event. Then they receive a list of children in need from job and family services.
"Each member is paired up with one of those kids, we go pick them up, we take them to Walmart, pick out a gift for each member of their family, Jaycee’s picks up the tab of course, and then we come down here, we wrap the gifts up have pizza, pop and as you saw Santa stops by for a visit," President of The Zanesville Jaycee’s, Mike Fulmer said.
The children also get to pick out a gift for themselves. Fulmer said the kids are very grateful and this is the Jaycee’s favorite event throughout the year.
