The MVL is historically one of the toughest leagues around, not just in football, but maybe more so in basketball. If you’re not ready to play at tip-off, things can catch up with you in a hurry. The John Glenn Muskies found that out the hard way last Tuesday against Philo. But, it’s a long season, and the Muskies are confident they can turn things around.
The Muskies battled hard against Philo on Tuesday at the Power Plant, but they came up just a bit short in a 44-43 loss, their first of the season. Head Coach Greg Woodard credited a tough Philo team, but also said his team wasn’t as focused as he would have liked. The Muskies return four seniors to the lineup this year and are one of the early favorites to compete for an MVL title. It won’t be easy, but they will try to bounce back against Maysville tomorrow night at home, where the Muskies hope to be sharper in every aspect of the game.
