A talented group of local teens and pre teens will get the chance to display their work at this Friday’s Art Walk.

37 area students were selected to participate in the Powerhouse Gallery that will be held at Michael Seiler’s Studio on 7th Street. He says that the display will feature music, refreshments and showcase variety of exceptional pieces.

" It will be their personal artwork. This was a competition that was held about a month ago and this is the best of the best. You will see everything from painting to sculptures to photography and this and that," said Seiler.

For many of the Powerhouse students, this is their first time having their work in a gallery and Seiler says it will give them the exposure and confidence to continue in their careers as artists. Their pieces will be for sale on Friday and many have already been sold. He says the students are grateful and eager to have the opportunity.

" Many of these children are shy. Art kids are tend to be rather sensitive so they are a little shy, but on the other hand when I speak with them they get real excited and they just can’t believe this is happening, " said Seiler.

The show will take place from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. and guests can expect a night packed with entertainment. Again the address is 129 South 7th Street across from Trinity Lutheran Church.
