The Ohio State Highway Patrol says a semi dodges traffic and rolls over after a brake failure causes the driver to lose control.

Lt. Matt Boyd says witnesses report at around 1 p.m. they noticed the semi passing by without slowing down at the Airport Road exit, on further review troopers say the driver had no other choice.

"He said that he was coming up the ramp, he hit his brakes to slow down for traffic ahead of him and his arrow went down to zero and he said he didn’t have any brakes at all in his truck.  He came across the exit ramp through the stop sign to avoid traffic," said Lt.Boyd.

Lieutenant Boyd says that it’s a miracle that the driver was not injured in the accident and there wasn’t more damage at the scene.

"No one else was involved, just the vehicle no one was injured and there’s no hazardous material spills or anything like that. The fire department had evaluated the scene and they’ve actually cleared it out. "

The driver was transporting coffee from Groveport to Marietta for DLM company out of Nashville Tennessee. Troopers say that they will put him in a hotel until the manufacturer comes to pick up the unharmed product. Perry Township Fire Department and the Ohio Department of Transportation assisted on the scene. Traffic was redirected while troopers investigated the accident.
