A Zanesville man charged in connection to a drug bust in July of this year enters a guilty plea in court.
34-year-old Jason Tate plead guilty in Muskingum Common Pleas Court to one count of possession of cocaine, one count of possession of heroin, possession of Lorazepam and having a weapon under disability. Six other charges will be dropped at sentencing.
Judge Kelly Cottrill ordered a pre-sentence investigation in the case. Tate’s bond was continued at $250,000.
The Muskingum County Prosecutor said Tate and a co-defendant Codey Starkey were arrested on July 26 after the Muskingum County Sheriff’s Office Special Response team conducted a search at an apartment on Clover Street.
Authorities recovered heroin, cocaine and prescription pills along with money and multiple weapons.
