Various college bowl games have been going on around the nation and fans came into The Barn to watch their favorite teams duke it out.

Don Mason brought his family out on New Year’s Day to enjoy food and refreshments while gearing up for one of the big games. He says that one of the coaches playing in the Rose Bowl is from our area and he enjoys watching his team play.

"I always like starting off the New Year by watching the bowl games. It starts to wrap up the season which is sort of sad, but a happy time because you can see some pair ups between the various conferences. We look forward to seeing how Mark Antonio will do tonight. Michigan state against Stanford many of us know him and his family very well and its good to have that local thread, " said Mason.

President of The Barn, William Steed says he loves this time of year and seeing all the locals so excited for the sporting events.

"I just think it’s a good atmosphere and people are in a good mood. We are just getting ready to start a new chapter in life for the New Year and we are always thrilled to do that, " said Steed.

Steed says he is looking forward to the Ohio State Orange Bowl game coming up this Friday and encourages the community to come in to watch.
