Meyer, Buckeyes Ready to Show ‘Competitive Spirit’

Through two seasons, Urban Meyer is 24-1 as the head coach of Ohio State. The numbers stand for themselves, but for a competitor like Meyer, that one loss still stings, not only for him, but his team. The Buckeyes have shown grit and resolve all season long, and the Orange Bowl gives them one more chance to finish strong.

It was media day for the Buckeyes this afternoon down in Miami…Urban Meyer posed with Cemson Head Coach Dabo Swinney in front of the orange bowl trophy and both coaches later talked about how much this game means to their team. The Buckeyes still have plenty to prove after losing to Michigan State…mainly, can they compete on the big stage and against big teams?

Despite the recent criticism, Ohio State is still most winning team in the BCS era. Simply put, meyer knows his guys have the talent, now it’s time to go out and perform when it counts.
