New Lexington Man Hits Train

The Lancaster Post of the State Highway Patrol is investigating a Sunday morning collision between a train and a pickup truck.

According to the Lancaster Post, at 2:35 a.m., 55-year-old Michael Bringardner was driving northbound on High Street in New Lexington when he failed to stop at a railroad crossing and struck a train. The post said Bringardner was initially transported to Fairfield Medical Center and later transferred to the Ohio State University Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries. Bringardner was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the collision.
