The case of a Cambridge man, accused of killing a pizza delivery driver, will go to a grand jury.

Guernsey County Prosecutor Dan Padden said 32-year-old Adam Burris waived a preliminary hearing in Cambridge Municipal Court this week. Padden said he expects to present the case to a grand jury, most likely in February.

Burris was arrested on a murder charge in the death of 26-year-old Kayla Thompson, also of Cambridge. Authorities say Thompson did not return from a delivery to Burris’s home on December 26th. The sheriff’s office says Burris was later taken into custody, and led authorities to Thompson’s body near a boat ramp at Dillon State Park.
