Planning for the 6th annual Y Bridge Arts Festival is already underway and organizers need your help.

This year the festival will take place downtown at Zane’s Landing Park on August 1st and 2nd. There will be 60 artists, local bands and food vendors throughout the event and volunteers are needed to provide the best experience for locals and visitors.

"I’m looking for chairs. We have some in place. I’m hoping to get more on the website there is a list of things we need we are hoping to attract people who are really interested in keeping this event going, to bringing the arts to Zanesville, inspiring the youth to participate in the arts," said Co-Director, Linda Regula.

Regula says the Y Bridge Arts Festival brings national attention to our area and boost the local economy. She says this will be the second time the festival has been held at Zane Landing but this year comes with some added perks.

"Shade, more electricity, water supply and the city is working with us make it really a first class event. We will have a ribbon cutting on the bridge before the opening of the show and we are working with the utility company to light the park up so that when the ribbon is cut the park will light up," said Regula.

Artists are encouraged to apply to be featured in the festival, they can do so starting March 1st through its website. Artists who were accepted in previous years can forgo the judging process. For more information visit the Y Bridge Arts Fest online.
