Snow Arrives – Cold On The Way

by George Hiotis on January 2, 2014 at 8:13 am

The New Year is bringing snow and dangerously cold temperatures.  The National Weather Service says parts of our area are under a wind chill and winter weather advisory.  Our area could get between 2 and 4 inches of snow by tonight.  And Friday morning wind chills could reach 10 below.  The Ohio Department of Transportation has crews dealing with the snowfall which has already started. O-dot says in snow and ice take it slow.

Here is more from Whiz’s Phil Sakal:

Snow makes its return to SE Ohio for your Thursday. Snow will be with us for the majority of the day, with 2 to 4 inches of accumulation possible by this evening. Temperatures will be in the upper 20s to near 30 early, then will begin to fall during the rest of the day. Windy conditions will also be with us as well, with gusts of 30 MPH at times. Tracking a much colder day on Friday, and I will let you know how cold we will be on Sunrise or check it out now at -Phil Sakal
