The Zanesville District Golf Association invites the public to attend a day filled with fun activities for a good cause.

The annual Z.D.G.A Golf Show is coming up this Saturday and Zanesville Country Club Golf Professional, Mike Durant says that visitors are in store for a good time. He says this year’s tent will be filled with food, prizes, games and more.

"To help demonstrate, we will have a long drive contest. We have a launch monitor it is an indoor contest, you hit it into a net using the monitor, it records your distance we have a silent auction and then we will have a live auction auctioning off many prizes, " said Durant.

The money raised at the golf show will go towards promoting and furthering golf interest in the youth of Muskingum County and surrounding areas. Last year, the organization provided more than $3,000 in golf scholarships.

"We have different divisions of our golf programs, but to qualify for the scholarships you must be a senior playing golf that summer, " said ZDGA President, Steve Galloway.

Tickets costs $5 per person and can be purchased from a Z.D.G.A member, at the door or at Ticket Crush on Maple Avenue. The event takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Eaglesticks Golf Club. Children under 18 years of age who are accompanied by an adult get in free of charge.
