Ohio Attorney General Mike Dewine announced a lawsuit against Old Skool Sports, LLC of Pataskala and its owner Wednesday…
The lawsuit charges Old Skool Sports and its owner, Christopher Sabatino of Gahanna, with violating Ohio’s Consumer Sales Practices Act.
Dewine’s office said the company failed to deliver league sports memberships that were sold to consumers. Some consumers complained that they signed up for a league, such as flag football, t-ball, cheerleading, or dodge ball, that did not occur, and they did not receive refunds. Other consumers said they cancelled their membership but never received a refund.
The office said it received 11 unresolved complaints against the business, with reported losses totaling just over $1,400, but additional consumers may be affected.
