Officials from Ohio Means Jobs Muskingum County say job hiring season is right around the corner.
Supervisor, Julie Metzger says that March and April are prime hiring times and she wants the community to be ready when opportunity knocks. The job center will offer a variety of work shops to help people prepare for their first interviews and more.
"The workshops that we are offering are resume writing, interviewing skills, being prepared for that interview and making sure that everything is in place when you go out and start interviewing," said Metzger.
Along with the classes, the center is also offering tuition assisting for training courses. People must fall under certain criteria to apply for the programs. The trainings are short term and usually last 12 month or less.
"Some of training that we look at are CDL it’s a high demand for Class A Class B drivers so we are able to fund if you fall into the guidelines for CDL. We also look at some of the short term training for the gas and oil, " said Metzger.
