A local woman is serenaded by a singing quartet in honor of Valentine’s Day.

Addy Weck works at the Shriver’s Pharmacy on Brighton Boulevard and when she came in to work she got the biggest surprise of her life. Her husband of eight years, Cory, sent the Sweet Adelines to bring her a rose and sing to her while on the job.

"I feel very appreciated and I feel well loved and and yes I’ll thank him greatly," said Weck.

The Adelines started this morning at 9 a.m. and continued until 5 p.m. this afternoon making it a special Valentine’s Day for a lot of people.

"It is so wonderful to be able to sing for people to see the different reactions. We get everything from fear or complete surprise or sometimes they are just so happy the can’t resist crying and it is just so much fun and we love to share the stories when we are done at the end of the day, " said member, Bonnie Bean.

Each performance costs $20 and all the proceeds raised will benefit Genesis Hospice and palliative care. If you are interested in hiring the Sweet Adeline’s you can give them a call to schedule a time and place at 740-29SONG8.
