A group of local singers is getting together to put on a fun filled variety show at the Muskingum County Center for Seniors.

The Buckeye Road Show has performed all over the state of Ohio and will perform this upcoming Saturday for the second time at the center. Musical Director, Amanda Cox says guests are in for a good time.

"It’s quite a mixture. It’s actually kind of a variety show. We all sing our own different styles, we have some jazz, we have some Motown, we have some country, just a little bit of everything, solo singing and some have all of it, singing in group numbers, we even have some comedy, " said Cox.

The theme for the show is "Celebration of Love" in honor of Valentine’s Day. Group members plan to stick to the theme throughout the performance. Cox says she is eager and excited to entertain the crowds this weekend.

"Just the reaction that the crowd has to our performance. It’s nice to see them smiling and getting into the show, clapping along, singing along all of that. It’s just the fun of entertaining people.

Reserved seating for the show will costs $10 per person or groups can purchase a table of eight for $100. General admission is $100 per person or $10 at the door. All the proceeds will go toward purchasing a new bus for the seniors.. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the show starts promptly at 7 p.m.
