Politicians are already gearing up for the upcoming November elections and on Monday Democratic Ohio Attorney General Candidate, David Pepper stopped in Zanesville.

Pepper talked about his platform" Fighting For Working Families." One of the issues he says he would like to see Ohio improve on is job equity.

" When people are out working hard everyday they are paid the wages and benefits they are suppose to make and right now in this tough economy, there are some employers who are literally not paying what the law requires them to pay. That and certain benefits or overtime and we believe if that happens broadly it holds back the entire economy, " said Pepper.

Pepper says he has more than 10 years of experience , both personal and professional that qualifies him for the position.

" Well I have spent years in both the private and public sectors so I know a lot about the private economy and business, but I also spent years on the city council, county commissioners fighting crime and right now what you need in an attorney general is one that knows how to fight criminals and deal with whether it’s heroin issue like we talked about today or street crime or frankly internet crime, but also some one with private sector experience that knows how to push for good jobs, " said Pepper.

Pepper will face incumbent Republican Attorney General, Mike Dewine in the fall.
