The final person charged in connection with the murder of a Zanesville man was sentenced today in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court. 20-year-old Shaquille Davis appeared in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court Monday morning where he received 20 years to life in prison on charges of murder, tampering with evidence and abuse of a corpse. Davis pleaded guilty to the charges last month in connection to the death of Phillip Kimbro Jr.who was his cousin. Kimbro’s body was found on fire by a tree trimming crew on County Road 15 in Morgan County last summer. Five other co-defendants have already been sentenced to prison.
