Drive Sober On St. Patrick’s Weekend

by George Hiotis on March 14, 2014

The Muskingum County Safe Community Coalition wants to make it a safe St Patrick’s Day Holiday weekend.  The coalition is reminding drivers not to get behind the wheel if they have been drinking.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration  reports that more than 269 people have been killed nationwide in crashes involving drunk drivers during the St. Patrick’s Day holiday from 2007 to 2011.  To make sure you stay safe the Coalition is offering a sober ride program.  It includes free rides home in The Barn Bus Saturday.  You can also call  Starbright at 453-3882.  If you see a drunk driver call police.  You could save a life.
