We’re just 160 days away from the Muskingum County Blue Ribbon Fair.
This year instead of one night of headline music the fair board has put together two nights. On Thursday August 14, Tyler Farr, the singer of the single "Redneck Crazy" will perform along with special guest Parmalee. Parmalee’s hit song "Carolina" is currently in the Top 30 of the billboard country airplay.
The Swon Brothers best known from NBC’s The Voice will take the stage Friday August 15. Organizers said they’re fortunate to get these acts.
"Some of it might be a little bit of luck. But, we work with a good agent here from town and we’ve got a good board and the secretary just keeps on it all the time," said Muskingum County Fair Board President Darrel Cubbison.
Other fair favorites like harness racing, truck and tractor pull and A-bar Rodeo Bull Riding along with Girls Barrel Racing will take place during the week long event.
"It’s very very popular. This will be the third year for that event and it went over very well," said Cubbison.
Tickets for the shows go on sale April 5 at 9 a.m. on the Muskingum County Fair’s website. Tickets for Tyler Farr and Parmalee are $25 for track seats and $15 for the grandstand. Tickets for the Swon Brothers are $15 for the track and $9 for the grandstand.
The Muskingum County Fair opens August 10.
