The Ohio Department of Transportation is reminding the public of bridge closures starting Monday, March 31st in Muskingum County and remaining closed for several months.

State Route 666 will be closed for two separate bridge replacements. The first replacement will take place at the Gilbert Road intersection located between Memory Road and Culbertson Road. Throughout construction, the Gilbert Road/State Route 666 intersection will be closed. Work for this portion of the project is expected to be completed by June 2nd, weather permitting.

The second bridge replacement is located at Bateman road, details for this closure will be released at a later date. The completion date is set for October. Traffic will be detoured for each of these closures via State Route 60, to State Route 208, back to State Route 666, and reverse.

Also, work is set to begin on the replacement of a State Route 83 bridge in New Concord, just south of US Route 22 in Muskingum County. During construction, southbound traffic will be maintained at all times in one, 11-foot width lane. Northbound traffic south of New Concord will be detoured via I-70 west, to State Route 723, to US 22, then back to State Route 83. The completion date is October 15th.
