Palm trees, umbrellas and Hawaiian lays filled the room as more than four hundred individuals participated in the Zanesville-Muskingum County Chamber of Commerce’s Spring Break Meeting.
The morning breakfast at the Hallowed Hills is a chance for business minded people to get refreshed and motivated after a long winter. Friday guests had the chance to listen to life coach, Bruce Boguski speak about the importance of a positive attitude.
"We talked about being positive in negative situations, said Boguski." We talked about using the correct kind of words to allow us to handle stress in our lives, about using affirmations in our lives and things like that just to get people pumped up because we have a tendency to get negative in today’s society. "
Boguski used humor and real life experiences to connect with crowd. He shared his own personal struggles with visitors as a testimony.
"When I was 17 I broke my neck in a car accident. A drunken driver hit us head on. I don’t remember the accident, but I was busy recuperating for two years. I then learned something from that event that allowed me to become a cancer survivor three years ago, and if you believe it or not three weeks ago I had a stroke, " said Boguski.
During the meeting a variety of awards were handed out in categories such as economic development, public safety and workplace achievement.
