After weeks of donating, one lucky WHIZ employee was chosen to get pied in the face.
In order to raise money for the Big Brothers Big Sisters Organization, the staff at WHIZ held a contest to see who could receive the most donations for the cause. This year WHIZ’s Brian Wagner out did himself.
"I misread it. I thought if I raise the most I was the one who got to throw the pie. I Didn’t realize I was receiving the pie so that’s what ended up happening, " said Wagner.
Wagner says that getting pied in the face was worth it in order to support such a worthy and important organization in our area. He says it is an experience he will remember for a lifetime.
" It was a little disconcerting because you see the pie come in and then it’s kind of nothing but white and you have a little trouble breathing for a moment or two, but then you realize it’s just whip cream you’ll be fine, " said Wagner.
Wagner ended up raising $75 dollars for the Bowl for Kids Sake Fundraiser and the station as a whole raised nearly $500 for the Big Brothers Big Sisters organization.
