The 28th Annual Carr Center Cake Auction is less than two weeks away and organizers are reminding you to get involved.

The deadline to get your cake and incentive into the bid booklet for this year is quickly approaching. To have your name or company featured you must send in your information by April 15.

"People can bring cakes all the way up to the last day on the 23rd and bring their cakes and incentives in, but to get into the best advertising that you can get with the auction people like to follow what people are contributing and the bid booklet is a big thing, " said Carr Center Executive Director Kim Hosler.

Hosler says that getting involved is even easier this year. There are incentives for newcomers to make the process go as smoothly as possible.

" With a generous donation from Zandex, for first timers, Bill Bird will offer one of his great cakes and those are really coveted and super delicious, so for first timers coming in and you haven’t been in we have a few of those left, " said Hosler.

Along with auction participants the Carr Center is looking for more than 200 volunteers to help out at the two day event. This year the cake auction will be held April 24 and 25 at the Colony Square Mall and will be broadcast live on AM 1240 radio for more information visit the Carr Center website.
