A fire broke out Thursday evening in Cambridge.

The Captain with the Cambridge Fire Department says the fire started around 6:30 p.m. in the 100 block of Coshocton Avenue. When crews arrived the home was fully involved in flames. It took firefighters about 30-to-40 minutes to put the fire out. Crews were still on scene at 10:30 p.m. containing what was left of the building, which has been vacant for years.

The cause is still under investigation, but the structure was a total loss.
