The Muskingum County Commissioner’s met with the county sewer department manager to discuss upcoming projects. One still in the works is the New Life Project on Maysville Pike. With funding and grant money, the project is expected to cost the county $676,000.
"We are going for funding for our loan," said sewer department manager Kenny Beisser. "We have money that is available to us that we are going to pay for this project through our department instead of going after loans."
Another project in the works is the Avondale Project. Beisser said his department is currently waiting for the EPA to approve a permit to install.
"Once that is approved then the project will go out to bid. And that project should be out to bid probably late summer, early fall."
The cost for the Avondale Project is around $2,300,000.
