Baseball is a romantic game. It unites complete strangers; it forms lifelong bonds and memories. For a local father and son, baseball was the centerpiece of the road trip of a lifetime.
Mike Bebout of Frazeyburg and his son Chad, a former Tri-Valley cross country star who lives in North Carolina, embarked on a trip they called "Mike and Chad’s Week in the Majors." The two visited eight ballparks in seven days, traveling over 2,300 miles. Mike and Chad also took a pit stop at the hall of fame in Cooperstown. The Mets caught word of Mike and Chad’s trip and upgraded their seats to behind home plate.
