The John McIntire Library and the Convention and Visitors Bureau are teaming up to celebrate National Tourism Week on Thursday May 8, with a lunch program featuring special guest, Celeste Freidman.
"We will be hosting Celeste Freidman who has developed a program, ‘O is for Ohio’. She’s written original music celebrating the heritage, the tourism and the history of Ohio," said Blair Tom, assistant director at the John McIntire Library.
Tom says the program is aimed at reminding residents of all the opportunities that are available right here, in Muskingum County.
"Really it’s interesting every year looking for some new approach to this. Her credentials; Grammy winning, a musician, an author is a really unique blend and we’re really excited to be able to share her area residents."
Lunch will be provided and will begin at 11:30 a.m. with the program starting at noon. The program is free, but reservations are required. You can make reservations by calling 740-453-0391 EXT. 131.
