If you are interested in preserving the city you call home, there’s an organization to help you do just that.

The Zanesville Downtown Association is currently calling for members. The mission of the group is to oversee the revitalization of downtown Zanesville.

" We are a government liaison, so we work with the city and the county and state folks to make improvements to our downtown businesses as well. We also do a lot of real estate, " said ZDA Manager, Dana Matz.

Matz says this is perfect time to join ZDA. They have a lot of activities for members to participate in that he hopes will bring visitors to the area. Membership fees will go directly into downtown projects.

" We are already working on Christmas and so the wreaths that folks see on Main St. we will take those out of storage and we are having those re-wrapped and we will throw a new garland on there and we’ll be putting led lights in," said Matz.

Regular membership is $30 per person and to become a benefactor it will cost 100 dollars. For more information or for an application you can visit the chamber of commerce website at
